January 10, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Dealers affiliated with the Belarusian Automobile Association sold 7,205 new cars in December 2024, 7 percent more than in December 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BAA board member Alaksandar Stelmach attributed the hike to marketing and high demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Geely brand led among passenger cars, selling 3,567 units last month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Electric cars accounted for almost 8 percent of sales, registering an annual increase of 6.2 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stelmach explained the increase by the growing supply of electric vehicles and infrastructure expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, BAA Consult Director D\u017amitryj Jarota said that BAA members sold 21,761 passenger cars and 3,647 light commercial vehicles in the country in 2023. They dealers distributed 78 models, 64 fewer than in 2022. The number of brands represented also decreased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
