{"id":121719,"date":"2025-01-14T18:28:05","date_gmt":"2025-01-14T15:28:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/121719\/"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","slug":"eight-countries-join-eu-sanctions-on-belarus","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/121719\/","title":{"rendered":"Eight countries join EU sanctions on Belarus"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>January 14, <em>Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>The Council of the European Union reports that eight countries have joined the EU sanctions imposed against 26 individuals and two legal entities from Belarus on December 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report listed Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway and Ukraine. &#8220;The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it,&#8221; it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Belarusian legal entities are Vlate Logistik and Ruzekspeditsiya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The package also includes judges, heads and deputy heads of correctional institutions, as well as the \u201chead of a medical unit in one of these institutions, where a number of political prisoners face inhumane conditions and are subject to abuses.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the EU and its allies have targeted Alaksiej \u0160vako\u016d, chairman of the Belarusian National Bar Association, and nine businesspeople, five of whom are linked to the aforementioned companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In all, 287 individuals and 40 Belarusian legal entities are under European sanctions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also read: <a href=\"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/118499\/\">EU sanctions 26 people and two companies in Belarus<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>January 14, Pozirk.
