Seven Belarusians took their own lives in Georgia between January 2023 and June 2024, <em>Pozirk<\/em>&#8216;s analysis of the Georgian interior ministry&#8217;s data revealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This is quite a lot,&#8221; Gerogian-based Belarusian human rights activist Raman Ki\u015blak commented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Four Belarusians committed suicide in 2023 and two in the first half of 2024. Ki\u015blak said he had no information about them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;There weren\u2019t many Belarusians here before 2021. The mass inflow began in April 2021, when people fled persecution in their homeland,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to local authorities, there are 12,000 Belarusian nationals in Georgia.
