January 17, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarusian authorities have added Pava\u0142 Ku\u0142a\u017eanka and Vital Paciechin to the list of people “involved in extremist activities,” the interior ministry reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, a Minsk court sentenced them to long prison terms on six charges, including a drone attack on a police base in September 2021. Ku\u0142a\u017eanka, a policeman-turned-Ukrainian fighter, and Paciechin, a former military officer, were tried in absentia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the authorities blacklisted 12 people sentenced on charges typically used for political reprisals: Natalla Davydka, Siarhiej Jun\u010dyc, Vital Kor\u0161un, Anatol Vasile\u016dski, Natalla \u017dyhar, Vasil \u0141akaje\u016d, Pavie\u0142 Parfiona\u016d, Nadzieja Nahornaja, Natalla Ha\u016dron, Alena Amieha, and the married couple Valery Ra\u016dko\u016dski and Anastasija Ilnickaja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The register contains 4,862 entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People placed on the list of individuals involved in extremist activities are banned from any education- and publishing-related activity, as well as from holding state positions and from doing military service, for five years after completing their sentences or after the related conviction is deleted from the criminal record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their financial transactions are subject to close monitoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
