January 20, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja has congratulated Donald Trump, who was sworn in as the 47th US president earlier today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The people of the United States have once again demonstrated the enduring strength of democracy through a peaceful transfer of power,” the Belarusian opposition leader said<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The ideals that underpin the American spirit\u2014liberty, self-determination, and the pursuit of happiness\u2014continue to light a path for nations around the globe,” she noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We trust that the United States will continue to champion the cause of liberty, working with allies to amplify the voices of those seeking human dignity and to hold accountable those who suppress these aspirations,” Cichano\u016dskaja underscored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Belarusian people stand as allies of the United States, united by shared values and a common vision for a freer, safer, and more prosperous world,” Cichano\u016dskaja stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to her, the pro-democracy forces “are eager to deepen Belarusian-American ties and to work together to strengthen the security and prosperity of the transatlantic community.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
