January 21, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Officials have opened a new facility designed for 1,000 students at Belarusian State Medical University in Minsk, the Ministry of Health reported yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government spent 67 million rubels (some $20.5 million) on construction and equipment. The building is well-equipped and “uses information technology and artificial intelligence,” the ministry said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The building has a virtual laboratory and a 4D room, which allow the simulation of various emergencies. Engineers installed simulators at a classroom where 36 students can study simultaneously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Health Minister Alaksandar Chad\u017eaje\u016d said at the opening ceremony that such facilities represent the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The new building makes it possible to implement all the most modern approaches in the education process not only for Belarusian students but also for foreign ones,” Chad\u017eaje\u016d said. “It allows us to demonstrate the achievements that exist in our country today. This building as a construction site demonstrates Belarusians’ achievements because the equipment used for its construction is domestic.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is traditional for Belarusian authorities to open landmark facilities close to important dates. On January 21\u201326, the country will hold a presidential election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On December 30, 2024, the authorities inaugurated three new stations of the third metro line \u2013 Aeradromnaja, Niemar\u0161anski Sad and S\u0142ucki Ha\u015bciniec. Plans to design a new line have already been announced. The fourth line with 17 stations will be 25 km long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
