The blogger left Belarus earlier, fearing politically-motivated persecution after serving a prison term over his online activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alaksandar Syravatka and Arciom Juryj\u010duk were tried in the Hrodna region for allegedly sharing opposition content, the <em>Pravo Imeyut<\/em> Telegram channel said. The sentences remain unknown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The state-run <em>Belarus 1 TV<\/em> channel announced a broadcast featuring captured Belarusian volunteer Vasil Vieramiej\u010dyk who fought Russia in Ukraine. He was extradited to Belarus from Vietnam last November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The number of practising lawyers in Belarus plunged by 27.3 percent to some 1,600 over the past four years, according to the data by the International Observatory of Lawyers in Danger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Belarusian human rights groups designated 15 people convicted on defamation and protest-related charges as political prisoners, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported.
