The withdrawal of Wagner Group mercenaries from Belarus will not significantly improve the security situation, the politician noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rau described the illegal migration crisis at the Polish-Belarusian border in 2021 as an attempt to &#8220;destabilize Poland&#8221; ahead of Russia&#8217;s planned full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reports of the withdrawal of Wagner fighters from Belarus have been coming in&nbsp;following the August 23 air crash that killed&nbsp;Wagner Group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin. However, two days later, Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka said that up to 10,000 mercenaries could stay in Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In early September, Belarus will host the Collective Security Treaty Organization&#8217;s (CSTO) Combat Brotherhood drills.
