February 11, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Valancin Rybako\u016d, Belarus’ permanent representative to the United Nations, has told state media that Washington\u2019s funding cuts and withdrawal from some UN agencies will affect the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“After all, money doesn’t decide everything, but it does decide a lot,” Rybako\u016d is quoted as saying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A week ago, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order calling for a review of US ties to the UN. He withdrew the United States as an observer from the UN Human Rights Council and terminated funding for the UN agency assisting the Palestinians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier today, Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka once again expressed his admiration for Trump at a meeting Rybako\u016d, the Belarusian ruler\u2019s press office reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“To his credit, Donald has shaken up some international structures in a big way,” \u0141uka\u0161enka said. He asked Rybako\u016d for his opinion how it will impact the UN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
