February 13, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>A protocol to agreement on mutual supplies signed by Belarus and Cuba last year has been expanded by a list of goods that parties want to exchange over the next five years,\u00a0says a document published on the National Legal Internet Portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two countries agreed to exchange goods worth up to $15 million each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The news comes after yesterday Belarusian envoy Vital Bar\u010duk presented copies of his credentials to Anayansi Rodr\u00edguez Camejo, Cuba\u2019s deputy foreign minister, discussing cooperation in food security, manufacturing and other sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cuba supplies Belarus with medications, medical equipment, vaccines, coffee, cocoa, rum, canned food, fruit, juices and seafood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In turn, Belarus offers Cuba pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, milk powder, fertilizers, corn, barley, soybean oil, canned beef, cheese, vegetable oil as well as agricultural and construction, equipment and spare parts for BelAZ and MAZ vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, Belarus and Cuba negotiated imports and exports of medications. Both countries are also developing military ties and exchanging military delegations\u2019 visits. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, Belarusian Prime Minister Raman\u00a0Ha\u0142o\u016d\u010danka described ties with Havana as \u201cspecial relations with fraternal Cuba\u201d and \u201ca strategic partnership.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
