February 13, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarusian conscripts are learning from the experience of the \u201cspecial military operation in Ukraine,\u201d said Alaksandar Valfovi\u010d, head of the Belarusian Security Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The drill focuses on the use of unmanned aircraft and defense against drones, he said, according to the defense ministry. Soldiers also train in tactical medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Valfovi\u010d said that \u201cthe inspection activities are planned in nature, and the West\u2019s accusations against Belarus are unfounded.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that the West accuses Belarus of preparing for aggression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey are concerned about the Belarusian-Russian exercise planned for 2025. There is nothing extraordinary here. These exercises have been held on a planned basis every two years since 2009,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe joint maneuvers planned for this year involve practice and a test of how ready our regional group of troops is to defend the Union State.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Valfovi\u010d, the Ministry of Defense will continue to prepare a \u201cmilitary-trained reserve\u201d of Belarusian citizens who \u201cwill come at the right moment and stand up to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity\u201d of their country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On February 3, the Belarusian defense ministry announced a drill in the Armed Forces, which included movement of military equipment and potential temporary restrictions on civilian transport. The regime of Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka continues to conduct military exercises and training amid tensions with the West and Russia’s war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
