February 21, <\/strong>Pozirk.<\/strong> <\/em>Job openings in the Belarusian labor market have doubled from 83,571 in 2019 to 161,281 in late 2024, according to Pozirk<\/em>‘s analysis of the National Statistics Committee\u2019s (Bie\u0142stat) data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Viciebsk and Brest regions posted the highest growth rate, with 18,075 and 22,340 open positions. The city of Minsk and the Mahilo\u016d region followed with 41,834 and 16,951 vacancies. The Minsk and Homiel regions had 24,671 and 18,800 openings, while the Hrodna region had the lowest growth rate with 18,610 job openings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, 18,386 people were hired for additional roles, 46.6 percent fewer than in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, Belarus saw a 5.12-percent excess in dismissals over recruitments, with 683,322 workers laid off and 650,052 hired, according to Bie\u0142stat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian economy employed 4.13 million people as of December 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
