March 1, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> UN members have a serious duty to preserve the global forum as a “system-forming component” of international relations, Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ry\u017eanko\u016d said yesterday in Minsk, meeting with the UN resident coordinator, Rasul Baghirov, and heads of the UN agencies accredited in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Belarusian foreign ministry, Ry\u017eanko\u016d urged to revive the organization\u2019s spirit amid a growing global polarization and conflict potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting participants reportedly noted fruitful cooperation between Minsk and the UN, discussed the priorities of the agencies’ program activities in Belarus and outlined plans, such as preparing framework programs until 2030 and events to celebrate the United Nations\u2019 80th anniversary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The negotiators thoroughly discussed the entire range of areas of cooperation within the competence of UN agencies and the implementation of relevant international technical assistance projects in the country,” the ministry said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ry\u017eanko\u016d and Baghirov signed off on a plan for joint events to mark the organization\u2019s anniversary in Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusian officials, including Ry\u017eanko\u016d and Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka, have repeatedly criticized Western countries for allegedly manipulating international organizations like the UN and OSCE, accusing them of turning these bodies into tools of pressure and confrontation. They advocate for a “multipolar” world order and accuse the West of undermining global security and dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
