March 11, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>Guinea-Bissau President Umaro Sissoco Embal\u00f3 has called Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka to discuss details of Embal\u00f3’s planned official visit to Belarus, \u0141uka\u0161enka’s press office reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guinea-Bissau, a nation of 2 million on the west coast of Africa, has an area of \u200b\u200b36,100 sq. km and is slightly smaller than the Minsk region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to state media, in January 2025, the Belarusian ambassador in Moscow met with his Guinea-Bissau counterpart to discuss on agricultural collaboration, training opportunities for African students and supplies of equipment from Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bilateral trade data is unavailable, but Belarusian potash fertilizers and other goods are said to be shipped to Guinea-Bissau via Russian ports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The diplomatic contacts come amid Minsk\u2019s frantic effort to increase goods sales in Africa and reduce Belarus\u2019 reliance on Russia as the trade market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A big delegation of Belarusian officials is visiting eastern Libya to discuss ties, including oil business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
