March 14, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Fiodar Pa\u016dlu\u010denka, editor in chief at Belarus\u2019 reform.news website<\/em>, on March 13 found himself on the Russia\u2019s wanted persons database, possible in connection with criminal charges filed against him in Belarus, the Belarusian Association of Journalists reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other instances of politically-motivated persecution reported yesterday include a criminal case against a 21-year-old resident of the Homel region’s Re\u010dyca district accused of calling for protests in an opposition chat in August 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the start of 2025, the BySol Solidarity Foundation has paid \u20ac270,000 in aid to Belarusians who suffered from politically-motivated reprisals, its head Andrej Stry\u017eak said on Facebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A judge in A\u0161miany, Hrodna region, designated online communities by Belarusians in Florida on Instagram and Facebook as extremist content, the Pravo Imeyut<\/em> Telegram channel said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian Bestiary art project reported on Instagram the early closure of its exhibition in one of the Minsk galleries. Earlier, the government’s supporters complained about pagan elements of the exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of March 14, human rights defenders identified at least 1,214 political prisoners but the real number is considerably higher because many cases go undocumented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
