March 15, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka will take part in the May 9 celebrations in Moscow marking the capitulation of Nazi Germany to the Red Army, the Kremlin reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, \u0141uka\u0161enka met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon in Russia, and they called Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. The Kremlin described the telephone conversation as “warm and friendly.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The leaders discussed several current issues pertaining to the interstate relations’ future development,” it reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It was agreed to meet on May 9 in Moscow during the celebrations dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War,” it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus plans to hold a large-scale parade in Minsk on May 9. In late February, a Belarusian general, Leanid Kasinski, announced that military personnel from some friendly nations were expected to attend the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is unclear whether \u0141uka\u0161enka plans to watch both parades. Last year, he attended the one on Moscow’s Red Square in the afternoon, and in the evening of May 9, he spoke at the Belarus Remembers rally in Minsk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
