The government paid for every ambulance call an average cost of 164 rubels ($50).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The entire world is moving away from in-patient care or transitioning to hospital-substituting technologies. We are also working on it but . . . clearly understand that our citizens tend to be conservative when it comes to innovations,&#8221; the minister said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Bie\u0142stat, 2.26 million people were hospitalized in Belarus in 2020, after 2.86 million hospitalizations in 2018 and 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The health ministry estimates treatment in a therapeutic unit at 164 rubels ($50) a day, at a surgery unit at 191 rubels ($61) and a day\u2019s treatment in an intensive care unit at 1,202 rubels ($386).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>March 17, Pozirk.
