August 11, BPN.<\/em><\/strong> Belarus’ special operation forces continue to reinforce the country’s southern border to protect citizens and prevent border violations and the smuggling of weapons and ammunition, the Belarusian defense ministry has said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The elite forces are guarding key facilities, including roads and overpasses, it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Joint Forces Commander Serhiy Nayev said there were no signs of Belarus preparing for a ground offensive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But he added that Ukraine always plans for the “worst case scenario.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
