Open military aggression against Lithuania is unlikely, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Border guards did not record any unusual activities that could be attributed to Russian mercenaries, while NATO and national security services keep monitoring the situation in Belarus, Liubajevas noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The situation at the Lithuanian-Belarusian border remains &#8220;stable, but very tense,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lithuania plans to reinforce its border by deploying additional staff and equipment, the official noted.
