{"id":131276,"date":"2025-03-24T12:35:58","date_gmt":"2025-03-24T09:35:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/131276\/"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","slug":"poland-deports-more-than-200-belarusians-in-first-two-months","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/131276\/","title":{"rendered":"Poland deports more than 200 Belarusians in first two months"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>March 24, <em>Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Poland deported more than 200 Belarusians in the first two months of 2025, <em>Rzeczpospolita<\/em> reported, citing the Border Guard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Polish daily, 80 Ukrainians, 90 Colombians, 150 Moldovans, 260 Georgians and 220 Belarusians were forced to leave the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The number increased sharply from 100 expelled during the same period in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The daily quoted an unnamed border guard officer saying, &#8220;The mass issuance of humanitarian visas, with virtually no control or verification, has backfired. We are now getting rid of those who were not entitled to them.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The paper said visa procedures were simplified after Belarus\u2019 disputed presidential election of 2020 amid reprisals launched by Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka&#8217;s regime. Over the four years, 53,000 Belarusians have received visas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the system is often abused, the article says, noting that two Minsk agents infiltrated Poland under false names to spy on the Belarusian opposition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year, Warsaw tightened procedures, issuing just 500 visas to Belarusians, the paper said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of December 31, 2023, 118,562 Belarusian nationals lived in Poland with documents that legalized them in one way or another, according to the Belarusian Solidarity Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also read: <a href=\"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/121919\/\">Thirty percent fewer Belarusians received Polish residence permits in 2024 than year before<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>March 24, Pozirk.
