March 27, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>The government has extended preferential conditions for the Hrodna region’s \u0141akafarba paint factory in Lida and Bie\u0142\u0161yna tire producer based in Babrujsk, Mahilo\u016d region, for 2025 and 2026, says the Council of Ministers’ Directive No 173 on the National Legal Internet Portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Public procurement of paints, varnishes, tires and new rubber products can be made \u201cusing a single-source procurement procedure,\u201d the same as the companies enjoyed in 2023-2024, it noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lida paint factory is part of the state-run oil and petrochemical giant Bie\u0142naftachim sanctioned by the United States in the fall of 2021. Ukraine also imposed restrictions on the factory and 22 other Belarusian companies in early 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The European Union included Bie\u0142\u0161yna in the fifth package of its sanctions in late 2021. Later, Albania, Iceland, Japan, Liechtenstein, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland and Ukraine joined these restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
