April 4, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Poland will soon launch an information campaign in seven countries that account for the majority of irregular migrants it has faced, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said <\/a>in a video posted to X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He called on potential migrants not to trust intermediaries who promise to help them cross the Belarusian-Polish border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Don’t believe [Alaksandar] \u0141uka\u0161enka! Don’t believe [Russian President Vladimir] Putin!” Tusk said. “They lie when they say that it is the way to Europe. This is not true. You will not file a request for asylum here and, most importantly, will not cross the Polish border illegally anymore,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the prime minister, every meter of Poland’s eastern border is securely guarded and monitored with CCTV cameras and drones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, Lithuania, Latvia and Poland foiled 36,300 attempts to sneak in from Belarusian territory. According to Pozirk<\/em>‘s calculations, Poland has prevented about 3,900 attempts this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The migration crisis at the Belarusian-European border has been ongoing since the spring of 2021. Poland and the Baltic states call it a hybrid attack organized by Minsk and Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
