{"id":133703,"date":"2025-04-10T16:06:08","date_gmt":"2025-04-10T13:06:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/133703\/"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","slug":"belarus-plans-to-launch-ionosphere-satellite-in-q3","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/133703\/","title":{"rendered":"Belarus plans to launch ionosphere satellite in Q3"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>April 10, <em>Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>Belarus plans to put a satellite into orbit in the third quarter to observe the Earth&#8217;s ionosphere and improve our understanding of geomagnetic and solar storms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The device has passed all tests, including fitting into the launch vehicle, Siarhiej Za\u0142aty, CEO of the state-run Hieainfarmacyjnyja Sistemy company, told a news conference in Minsk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2006, Belarus lost its first remote sensing satellite after the rocket that carried it crashed to ground shortly after takeoff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In July 2012, Belarus sent another Earth observation satellite, BKA 2, into orbit. Its operational life, originally five years, has been extended several times as it continues to function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The satellite orbits at about 500 km, descending by about 23 meters a day. Experts estimate that the device will burn up in the atmosphere&#8217;s thicker layers between 2032 and 2037.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>April 10, Pozirk.
