April 12, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Today’s subbotnik, a day of unpaid labor, raised 14 percent more money than last year’s, Deputy Prime Minister Anatol Sivak has said, according to a video on the government’s Telegram channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The figures . . . are preliminary but fresh,” the official said. “Two million and 400,000 citizens took part in the community cleanup. About 16.5 million rubels were earned during the community cleanup, two million more than last year. In accordance with the decisions made, the funds will be used to build the National History Museum.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In January, Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka directed officials to organize at least two subbotniks this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On April 1, Prime Minister Alaksandar Tur\u010dyn signed a directive to allocating all money made during the first event for the construction of the National History Museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In September, \u0141uka\u0161enka was presented with the concept for the museum in Minsk. It was reported that the building plan followed the outline of the map of Belarus. The museum will present exhibits and information about the history of the Belarusian lands from ancient times to the present day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
