April 22, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka has made it clear that Anatol Linievi\u010d, the former minister of agriculture and food who resigned after just eight months in office, may be appointed Belarusian ambassador to an African country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are sending the former minister [of agriculture] in the African direction. He will cope!\u201d Pul Pervogo<\/em>, the Belarusian ruler\u2019s unofficial Telegram channel, quoted him as saying during today\u2019s visit to \u0160k\u0142o\u016d in the Mahilo\u016d region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few weeks ago, \u0141uka\u0161enka accepted Linievi\u010d’s resignation, appointing Juryj Har\u0142o\u016d, his aide for the Homiel region, as new agriculture minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusian law allows civil servants to resign only once during their career. Diplomats are not treated as civil servants, and their service is governed by a separate regulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
