The trend persists due to a politically-motivated crackdown that has continued unabated since the disputed 2020 presidential election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minsk is interested in attracting skilled workers along with their families, the Belarusian ruler noted, promising Pakistanis equal conditions with Belarusian workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The arrival of foreign workers may exacerbate the migration crisis at the border of Belarus and the European Union, ongoing since 2021, when \u0141uka\u0161enka, angered by EU sanctions, had indicated that Minsk would not prevent asylum seekers from Africa and Asia from using Belarus as a route to the EU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the start of 2025, the EU countries have recorded at least 9,624 irregular border crossings by third-country foreigners, including Pakistani nationals, via Belarus.
