May 20, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>Former Belarusian journalist Natalla Sudlankova has been included in the EU sanctions list, according to the Official Journal<\/a> of the European Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It said that Sudlankova is responsible for the Russian government’s actions or policies that undermine or threaten democracy and stability in the EU and Ukraine and also undermine the sovereignty or independence of several EU member states and Ukraine “through planning, directing and engaging in the use of information manipulation.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EU accused Sudlankova of producing tailor-made media products that have included manipulation and false narratives aimed at supporting the Russian foreign policy interests and undermining public confidence in democratic values and processes in the Czech Republic and the EU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rationale states that the woman has been receiving assignments “over a long period of time and has been financially rewarded.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sudlankova plays an important role in planning and directing coordinated information manipulations targeted at the public in the Czech Republic and other EU member states, the EU said. She has allegedly cooperated with the Russian government entities Rosatom and Pravfond and GRU officer Alexei Shavrov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, Sudlankova reportedly left the Czech Republic on May 1 after the country\u2019s Security and Information Service entered her and Shavrov on the sanctions list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
