May 21, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Contribution to Belarus’ GDP from small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) rose by 2.2 percentage points to 27.4 percent in 2024, according to Pozirk<\/em>‘s analysis of data from the National Statistical Committee,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The contribution of small businesses increased by 2.1 points to 17.7 percent and medium businesses by 0.2 points to 7.6 percent. The share of individual entrepreneurs decreased by 0.1 points to 2.1 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, SMEs reported 309 billion rubels ($94.35 billion at the current exchange rate) in revenue from the sale of products, goods, works and services, marking a 22.3-percent increase. Notably, these SMEs contributed 46.5 percent of the country’s revenue, a 2-percent rise on the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of January 1, 2025, there were 237.000 individual entrepreneurs (-5.9 percent) and 128,900 small and medium-sized businesses (+11.2 percent) operating in Belarus, including 115,400 micro-organizations (+12.5 percent), 11,400 small organizations (+0.9 percent) and 2,100 medium-sized organizations (+0.6 percent).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
