Fundraisers usually account for up to \u20ac1.2 million while the rest is provided by other sources, including the International Humanitarian Fund set up by Belarusian opposition leader \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Human rights defender Andrej \u010capiuk, journalist Ksenija \u0141uckina and opposition activist Palina \u0160arenda-Panasiuk who had been persecuted in politically-motivated cases in Belarus are among recent BySol\u2019s successful evacuation cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In late 2021, the Belarusian interior ministry branded the fund as an extremist group for political reasons following the crackdown on 2020 postelection protests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Belarusian authorities routinely use terrorism and extremism designations to silence critical voices.
