June 6, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> The Ministry of Internal Affairs has added 45 more people, including 12 women, to the list of “persons involved in extremist activity.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are: Rus\u0142an Sachar\u010duk, Natalla Hovarava, Arciom Han\u010dar, D\u017amitry Kva\u010d, Vital \u017dy\u0142a, Aksana Bary\u0142a, Viktar Bary\u0142a, Siarhiej Miad\u017aviedzie\u016d, D\u017amitry Pie\u010danko, Alaksandar \u017daryka\u016d, Andrej Nie\u015bciarovi\u010d, Anton Taba\u0161nika\u016d, Alaksiej Siemianok, Hienad\u017a Ivan\u010dyka\u016d, Iryna Ra\u016dba, Anton Kor\u0161una\u016d, Natalla Kor\u0161unava, U\u0142adzis\u0142a\u016d Krepski, Mikita Kamielahin, Ivan Patapavi\u010d, Alaksandra Hramovi\u010d, Viktar Dubro\u016dski, Ivan Bondar, Jaras\u0142a\u016d \u0160y\u0161, Antanina Dubro\u016dskaja, Maryja Bo\u0142bat, Alena \u0160arabajka, Iryna Pa\u017aniakievi\u010d, Marharyta Kandral, Siarhiej Kisialevi\u010d, Viktoryja Maciuch, Anatol Sa\u010dko\u016dski, U\u0142adzimier Stry\u017ey\u010d, Alaksandar \u015aciepanovi\u010d, Mika\u0142aj Dajneka, Arciom Kucharonak, Vadzim Pa\u017eyvi\u0142ka, Ivan Licha\u0142at, Barys Puchalski and Ivan Barodzi\u010d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The charges they faced ranged from public order offences and failure to report a crime to terrorism and high treason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Licha\u0142at (20 years’ imprisonment), Puchalski (25 years’ imprisonment) and Barodzi\u010d (11 years’ imprisonment), defendants in a railway bombing case, were declared political prisoners. In September, they were added to the “terrorist list.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other political prisoners on the list are Siemianok, sentenced to 1.5 years, and Pa\u017aniakievi\u010d (sentence unknown).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The interior ministry has noted that Sachar\u010duk, Ivan\u010dyka\u016d, Hovarava, Taba\u0161nika\u016d, Patapavi\u010d, Sa\u010dko\u016dski, Stry\u017ey\u010d, \u015aciepanovi\u010d, Dajneka, Kucharonak and Nie\u015bciarovi\u010d are still serving their sentences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Viasna Human Rights Center, Nie\u015bciarovi\u010d, a co-owner of the Cudo\u016dnia shop and a former politicial prisoner, was sentenced to 1.5 years of restricted freedom in an open-type corrective institution. His punishment hasn’t started yet. Nie\u015bciarovi\u010d is a parent of two minors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ministry attached the “conviction not expunged” label to the remaining names. This usually means the punishment given wasn’t a prison sentence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The list on the interior ministry website contains 5,387 entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
