{"id":142745,"date":"2025-06-15T19:24:33","date_gmt":"2025-06-15T16:24:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/142745\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T20:40:57","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T20:40:57","slug":"belarusian-it-professionals-could-seek-georgian-residency","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/142745\/","title":{"rendered":"Georgia offers 3-year residence permits to IT professionals"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>June 15, <em>Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Lawmakers in Georgia passed amendments to extend the validity of residence permits from one to three years on first application for IT professionals and businesspeople, as well as their families, a government website has reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Georgia has been one of the most popular destinations for Belarusians fleeing reprisals after the disputed 2020 presidential election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs,&nbsp;12,808 immigrants with Belarusian passports lived in the country on January 1, 2025.
