July 8, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>Belarus\u2019 brand-new car market showed a year-on-year decline for the first time in the last 12 months, the Belarusian Automobile Association (BAA) reported, citing its deputy board chairman, Andrej Tka\u010do\u016d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dealers sold 3,841 cars in June 2025, 13 percent fewer than in the same month of 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tka\u010do\u016d linked the trend to a lack of credit options and leasing restrictions. Since March 2025, most banks stopped offering loans for the purchase of new and used cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTo sum up the results of the first half of 2025, we can note that the new car market has grown by 21.3 percent compared with [the same period] last year with 24,634 cars sold over the six months. However, the figure is misleading, since the actual expansion was due to sales in the first quarter, and the car market has stagnated since April,\u201d the association said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
