July 10, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>The Podlaskie Border Guard Unit yesterday recorded more than 100 unauthorized entry attempts from Belarus and discovered a tunnel under the technical fence, the Polish Border Guard (SG) reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the area of the Micha\u0142owo border post, Podlaskie Voivodeship, a group of over 20 Afghan nationals entered Poland through the underground tunnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same voivodeship, near the village of Narewka, migrants threw stones, firecrackers and liquid-filled bottles at Polish border guards and placed pieces of barbed wire under the wheels of vehicles. A border patrol vehicle was damaged as a result, the SG said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attempts to enter illegally were also detected in the areas monitored by the P\u0142aska and Bia\u0142owie\u017ca outposts in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The migrants reportedly come from Iraq, Afghanistan, Sudan, Cameroon, Algeria and Eritrea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some 175 attempts to enter Polish territory from Belarus were prevented between July 4 and 6, according to an earlier report from the SG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asylum seekers threw bottles, stones and a nail-studded rod at Polish patrols over the fence, but no one was injured. However, one service vehicle was damaged. Two Poles were detained after coming to the border to pick up foreigners who had illegally entered from Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At least 15,000 attempts by undocumented migrants to enter Poland from Belarus have been recorded since the beginning of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
