July 14, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka has ratified the Belarus-Myanmar deal on the reciprocal protection of classified information, according to the office of the Belarusian ruler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It said that the agreement had been concluded in Minsk on March 7, during the official visit of Myanmar\u2019s military leader Min Aung Hlaing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deal aims to protect classified information and strengthen friendly relations between the two countries, the office reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt will establish the legal framework for the protection of Belarus\u2019 state secrets during bilateral cooperation with Myanmar in the military, military-technical, scientific-technical and other spheres,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 7, during talks with General Min Aung Hlaing in Minsk, \u0141uka\u0161enka welcomed Myanmar\u2019s decision to raise the level of diplomatic representation. The general said that Myanmar seeks \u201cmulti-sectoral cooperation\u201d with Belarus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 5, Min Aung Hlaing visited Russia, where he met with President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, in January, Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ry\u017eanko\u016d and his Myanmar counterpart U Than Swe stated similar positions on international matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the meeting in Naypyidaw, the two diplomats reportedly discussed \u201cthe current state of bilateral relations and identified areas of cooperation in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
