July 15, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>Bundestag members from Germany\u2019s far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) have inquired the government about the financing of Belarus\u2019 BySol Solidarity Foundation from Germany\u2019s federal budget and spending on former Belarusian political prisoners in Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BySol head Andrej Stry\u017eak commented, \u201cSurprising attention from the party whose member makes money from work of political prisoners in Belarus. A small favor for Belarusian government officials for onions?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The comment referred to media scrutiny of Cybulka-Bie\u0142, an onion producer in the Hrodna region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 27, the European Union imposed sanctions on 25 individuals and seven entities in Belarus, including Cybulka-Bie\u0142.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, media linked Cybulka-Bie\u0142 to AfD politician J\u00f6rg Dornau, suspected of using Belarusian political prisoners\u2019 labor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
