July 17,<\/strong> Pozirk.<\/strong> <\/em>Minsk has taken note of Warsaw’s statements \u201caccusing Belarus of involvement in border incidents,\u201d the Belarusian foreign ministry has said in a post on X in a reference to recent remarks by high-ranking Polish officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAttempts to shift responsibility for the European Union\u2019s migration crisis to Belarus are misleading and unproductive,\u201d it said. \u201cThe EU\u2019s own actions, including military interventions, political pressure, and reckless regime-change policies, have destabilized entire regions, forcing millions to flee.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ministry accused the EU of refusing \u201cto engage constructively\u201d with the origin countries of migrants who attempt irregular crossings. The unwillingness of Brussels to continue dialogue with Belarus led to \u201chalting cooperation on border and migration matters,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBlaming Belarus will not resolve the crisis Europe created,\u201d the ministry stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier today, Polish Interior Minister Tomasz Siemoniak described the recent incident at the Belarusian-Polish border involving a Molotov cocktail thrown towards Poland as unacceptable. The official also blamed Belarusian secret services, describing the incident as a clear attempt aimed at provocation and destabilization. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday, Polish Defense Minister W\u0142adys\u0142aw Kosiniak-Kamysz expressed concerns that third-country foreigners trying to cross into his country from Belarus irregularly have become increasingly aggressive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The migration crisis at the Belarusian-EU border has been ongoing since spring 2021 after Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka, angered by EU sanctions, had indicated that Minsk would not prevent people from Africa and Asia from traveling through Belarus to the EU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus\u2019 western neighbors call the crisis a \u201chybrid attack\u201d orchestrated by Minsk and Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
