July 19, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Donations to support the rehabilitation of recently released Siarhiej Cichano\u016dski exceeded the target amount of \u20ac8,000 a few hours after the launch of the fundraiser, according to bysol.org<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fundraiser is still ongoing and has collected more than \u20ac9,000 as of today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cichano\u016dski was pardoned on June 21 and was immediately taken to Lithuania following meeting in Minsk between Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka and Keith Kellogg, US President Donald Trump\u2019s special envoy for Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police arrested him two months before the 2020 election, as his sharp-edged campaign was gaining momentum and threatening to sweep \u0141uka\u0161enka from power. Later, he was given a lengthy prison term and was held incommunicado since March 2023 until his release in late June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cichano\u016dski lost weight and needs medical tests, doctor consultations, prosthetic teeth and vision correction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
