July 21, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>The Warsaw-based National Anti-Crisis Management (NAM) called on Poland to sanction senior officials of the Belarusian State Border Committee over their involvement in the ongoing migration crisis, its head Pavie\u0142 \u0141atu\u0161ka said on YouTube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NAM submitted a package of proposals to the Polish interior ministry detailing names of border officials and Belarusian propaganda workers who promote \u201cmigration war,\u201d the politician said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0141atu\u0161ka also pledged to discuss sanctions and defend the interests of ordinary Belarusians during his today’s meeting at the Polish foreign ministry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI stand by this position: One can’t close border crossings for people and isolate Belarus, close it . . . in some tin can. The response must target the regime\u00a0\u2013 the root cause of the problem,” he noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minsk would be hit hard if Warsaw decided to shut down goods flows and file a lawsuit at the UN International Court of Justice over the migration crisis, as Lithuania did earlier, the politician added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The migration crisis at the Belarusian-EU border has been ongoing since spring 2021 after Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka, angered by EU sanctions, had indicated that Minsk would not prevent people from Africa and Asia from traveling through Belarus to the EU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus\u2019 western neighbors call the crisis a \u201chybrid attack\u201d orchestrated by Minsk and Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
