July 26, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarus admires the Cubans\u2019 will and resilience, as they confidently defend the right to choose their path, Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka has said, congratulating Cuban President Miguel D\u00edaz-Canel and his compatriots on National Rebellion Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

D\u00edaz-Canel, who is also the first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, visited Belarus at the end of June for the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, as Cuba holds observer status in the Eurasian Economic Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to \u0141uka\u0161enka, the visit showed not just how strong the ties are between the two states, but also how genuinely warm the relationship is between their people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMinsk and Havana are building cooperation solely based on friendship and mutual understanding and have similar positions on the main issues of our time,\u201d the congratulatory message reads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0141uka\u0161enka stated that active political dialogue at the highest levels and growth in contacts within international organizations are continually gaining momentum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn a short period of time, we have achieved significant results in such promising areas as food security and industrial modernization. I confirm our readiness to export engines and medical products, as well as to develop cooperation in construction, energy, transport infrastructure and other areas of mutual interest,\u201d the Belarusian politician said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
