Since the first publication in November 2024, the list reportedly expanded to 110 entries, with 75 added in the first half of 2025 alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PEN Belarus also expressed concern about the government\u2019s campaign to remove memorials honoring Tadevu\u0161 Kasciu\u0161ka (Tadeusz Ko\u015bciuszko), a Belarusian-Polish patriot. It noted that a plaque disappeared from the commemorative stone near the village of Ka\u015bciu\u0161kava in the Mahilo\u016d region\u2019s Horki district earlier this year. Kasciu\u0161ka, leader of the 1794 uprising and national hero of Belarus, Poland and the United States, had been commemorated at the site for years, PEN noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A bust of Kasciu\u0161ka, unveiled in 1932, was also removed from Ka\u015bciu\u0161ka\u2019s family home in Ma\u0142yja Siachn\u00f3vi\u010dy, Brest region, along with all mentions of the general from the website of the local history museum. Its exhibition was replaced &#8220;with propagandistic displays focusing on Soviet partisans and the so-called \u2018genocide against the Belarusian people,\u2019\u201d the report said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>July 31, Pozirk.
