August 5, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Russia has returned 4.85 tons of blueberries to Belarus over the lack of proper shipment documents, the Russian phytosanitary service Rosselkhoznadzor reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The violation was discovered last week, it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also banned the import of 1,100 wooden boxes from Belarus, without specifying the manufacturer. According to the report, the carrier did not have a certificate confirming the boxes\u2019 origin or phytosanitary safety. They were also sent back to Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday, the service announced stopping a batch of carrot seeds entering from Belarus. \u201cAccording to the labeling, they were produced in the Netherlands,\u201d it said. However, the driver who transported the seeds, a Belarusian national, \u201cdid not have any accompanying documents.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cargo was detained. Rosselkhoznadzor said\u00a0it will decide what to do next once everything about the incident is clear and checked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In all three cases, the carriers were charged with misdemeanors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On August 4, the media reported that Rosselkhoznadzor had returned more than 1.6 t of sausages and smoked meats to Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
