August 11, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Any agreement with Russia must include the participation of the European Union, Belarusian opposition leader \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja has said ahead of the upcoming meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEvery country in our region will be affected by such an agreement. We must not allow Moscow to build spheres of influence,\u201d the politician stressed on X, noting that any deal with the Kremlin will concern Ukraine and the entire European neighborhood, including Belarus and Moldova.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting between Trump and Putin scheduled for August 15 in Alaska is expected to focus on a potential peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Kyiv is prepared to pursue genuine solutions for peace but will not accept any terms that undermine the Ukrainian state or force it to cede territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In February 2022, Russia started a full-scale war against Ukraine in which the Belarusian authorities supported the Kremlin, allowing Russian troops to attack Ukraine from Belarus on multiple occasions and supplying arms to Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
