August 15, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> The 53-year-old founder of a Minsk-based feed additives company has been arrested for giving some 100,000 rubels ($30,000) worth of bribes to win tenders, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It alleged that the man, through his subordinates, often paid officials at agricultural and processing organizations so that they would choose his company as a supplier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company\u2019s production facilities are located in the Brest region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nineteen criminal cases have been opened against 11 individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ministry has not reported how many people in total it suspects of being involved in bribery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Supreme Court data previously cited by Pozirk, 304 people were convicted of corruption crimes in January\u2013June 2025, which is a 7.3-percent decrease from the same period in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of these, 84 were given various prison sentences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most common crimes were theft by abuse of authority (133), bribery (93) and abuse of power (45).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A dozen people were sentenced for giving bribes and one for acting as an intermediary in bribery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
