August 19, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> The United Transitional Cabinet (UTC) is consulting diplomats from all countries that participated in yesterday\u2019s meeting on Ukraine in Washington, said Pavie\u0142 \u0141atu\u0161ka, deputy head of the UTC and leader of the National Anti-Crisis Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Talks have already been held with the Finnish ambassador and the French charg\u00e9 d’affaires in Poland. Negotiations with the German and British charg\u00e9s and the Italian ambassador in Warsaw are scheduled for tomorrow. Meetings with the US and Ukrainian diplomats have also been requested, the NAM leader said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe convey the importance of considering the Belarusian situation when developing a security guarantees formula for Europe,\u201d \u0141atu\u0161ka told Pozirk<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe emphasize that the internal political crisis created by the \u0141uka\u0161enka regime, associated with an unprecedented level of repression against Belarusian society, creates a situation where Belarus cannot be a guarantor of security in Europe,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOnly a change in internal repressive policies and dialogue with Belarusian society can create the conditions for Belarus to cease to be a threat to Ukraine, its neighbors and EU and NATO member states,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UTC believes it is important to continue putting pressure on the ruling regime. According to \u0141atu\u0161ka, the authorities must not be allowed to try to take advantage of the negotiation process between the US, Russia, Ukraine and other stakeholders \u201cto reap profits without taking any action to change their repressive domestic and aggressive foreign policies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
