August 20, Pozirk. <\/em><\/strong>The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) last week returned 1.7 t of blueberries and 2.4 t of strawberries to Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The berries were being imported to Russia without some of the required documents, the service has stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Checks on two vehicles revealed that the drivers \u201cdid not have phytosanitary certificates for 800 kg of the blueberries and 700 kg of the strawberries,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAfter an investigation, in line with the requirements of current legislation, we decided to return all products [4.1 t in total] to the adjacent territory,\u201d Rosselkhoznadzor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The perpetrators were charged with misdemeanors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
