August 20, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>\u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja has taken to Telegram to criticize Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka\u2019s talks with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPropaganda presents this as \u2018new horizons\u2019 and \u2018friendship of peoples,\u2019\u201d the Belarusian opposition leader said. \u201c\u0141uka\u0161enka has openly stated that Belarus is ready to cooperate with Iran \u2018on any issues.\u2019 However, there is no clear understanding of the framework for this cooperation. Only one thing is clear: the regime is sucking Belarus deeper and deeper into the war.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her opinion, the Iranian scenario for Belarus is life under sanctions, isolation, bans on air travel and foreign bank cards, and a nuclear threat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She mentioned the recent US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. \u201cThis is clearly not the way aligned with Belarusians\u2019 vision. The direction \u0141uka\u0161enka is leading our country in is a trap,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cichano\u016dskaja stated that Belarus should be \u201copen, modern and safe\u2014without war, nuclear weapons, or isolation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
