August 25,<\/strong> Pozirk.<\/strong> <\/em>The proportion of unprofitable companies, except for small businesses, rose to 16.2 percent in the first half of 2025 from 13 percent in the same period of 2024, according to Pozirk’s <\/em>analysis of the National Statistics Committee\u2019s (Bie\u0142stat) data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From January to June, the most loss-making entities were based in the city of Minsk and the Hrodna region. Their proportion rose by 4.5 points (from 17.4 percent to 21.9 percent) and 2.8 points (from 12.7 percent to 15.5 percent), respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mahilo\u016d region recorded the weakest increase, with growth edging up from 13.2 to 13.3 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The overall profitability of the country\u2019s entities rose by 0.1 percent to 6.8 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Profitability in the Viciebsk, Brest and Minsk regions grew between 0.3 and 3.9 percent, while the other regions saw declines, led by Hrodna with a 2.7-percent drop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
