His associate Alaksiej Lavon\u010dyk, head of the By_Help foundation, was given the same punishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The other defendants were given 16 years\u2019 imprisonment and fined 231,000 rubels each. They are: IT entrepreneur Jaras\u0142a\u016d Licha\u010de\u016dski, co-creator of the New Belarus digital platform; BySol co-founder Alaksiej Ku\u017amianko\u016d; IT entrepreneur Alaksandar Padhorny, who is also associated with BySol; Alaksandar \u0141apko, head of the Warsaw-based Belarusian Youth Hub; and blogger Alaksandra \u017duk (\u0179vierava), activist and former girlfriend of the regime\u2019s prisoner Eduard Babaryka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On February 17, the Prosecutor General\u2019s Office had announced sending the case to court.
