{"id":152779,"date":"2025-08-27T19:10:03","date_gmt":"2025-08-27T16:10:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/152779\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T20:40:57","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T20:40:57","slug":"belarus-supports-maduro-denounces-drug-trafficking-allegations","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/152779\/","title":{"rendered":"Belarus backs Maduro, denounces drug trafficking allegations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>August 27, <em>Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned \u201caggressive actions aimed at creating a tense international situation in the Caribbean and in Latin America as a whole,\u201d three weeks after the United States &nbsp;doubled a reward for information leading to the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicol\u00e1s Maduro to $50 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minsk\u2019s statement emphasized that Belarus \u201cconsistently advocates international cooperation in the fight against drug trafficking.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe consider unsubstantiated and politically motivated accusations against sovereign states\u2014particularly the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and its leadership\u2014of supporting terrorism and trafficking drugs to be unacceptable,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The foreign ministry called on all parties to adhere to the UN Charter, refrain from the threat of force and not interfere in nations\u2019 internal affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Republic of Belarus confirms its support for the legitimately elected president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicol\u00e1s Maduro, and the country\u2019s government. We consistently advocate for the preservation of its sovereignty, independence and stability,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In early August, the US Department of Justice and Department of State announced a $50 million reward for information that could lead to Maduro\u2019s arrest.
