{"id":1528,"date":"2023-08-07T18:01:00","date_gmt":"2023-08-07T15:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/api.pozirk.online\/?post_type=articles&#038;p=1528"},"modified":"2026-02-24T20:40:57","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T20:40:57","slug":"runaway-belarusian-sprinter-cleared-to-compete-for-poland","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/1528\/","title":{"rendered":"Runaway Belarusian sprinter cleared to compete for Poland"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>August 7,&nbsp;<em>BPN.<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;Kry\u015bcina Cimano\u016dskaja, the&nbsp;sprinter who decided not to return to Belarus after a dispute with her coaches at the Tokyo Olympics, has been cleared to compete for Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cimano\u016dskaja said on Facebook that she might participate in the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, later this month. &#8220;I am very happy, although I am experiencing strange emotions because everything has happened so quickly and suddenly,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to her post, the Polish Athletic Association received an official letter from the sport&#8217;s governing body confirming that she can represent Poland without waiting for the usual transfer period to be over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cimano\u016dskaja was a member of the Belarusian team until she criticized her coaches for registering&nbsp;her for&nbsp;an event she had not trained for.
